NHS Fees at Westbridge Dental Practice are governed by the NHS. These are reviewed annually and come into effect on the 1st of April. A copy of our price list is displayed in the reception area and leaflets are available upon request. Presently, our charges at present are:
If you are not exempt from charges, you should pay one of the following charges for each course of treatment you receive:
NHS Band 1 course of treatment:
This covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g. X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant. If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete.
NHS Band 2 course of treatment:
This covers everything in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
|NHS Band 3 course of treatment:
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
All charges apply to an overall course of treatment, and not the individual items within the course of treatment. You will only pay one charge for each course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it.
Some people, such as under 18s and pregnant women, are exempt from charges – just ask any member of our team for more information before you have any treatment with us.
A list of private treatments is available on request. These are also reviewed annually. A few examples of private charges include:
- Composite (white) fillings- depending on size: From £90
- Hygienist Scale and polish: £60
- Hygienist scale with Air-flow polish: £85
- Porcelain bonded crowns: From £450
This is not a comprehensive list, and more detailed treatment charges will be explained during an examination. Please note, if private appointments are not kept, we issue a charge in line with the length of appointment.
